COMPLEMENTARY COMPONENTS

The Pro-DTF 10 printing system is an "all-in-one solution" consisting of a large-format digital printer and a matching shaker with oven and rewinder.

With the Pro-DTF 10 it is possible to print transfer films up to 60 cm roll width from roll to roll.

Roll printing makes it possible to automate the application of the adhesive and the subsequent run in the oven, which results in considerable time savings.

TEN COLORS FOR MAXIMUM COLOR GAMUT

The printer is equipped with piezo print heads for 10 color channels. In addition to white, these are the 4 standard CMYK process colors plus 4 neon colors for impressive fluorescent effects. The resulting diversity combined with high quality enables very high productivity and a wide range of application and marketing options.

The Pro-DTF has an internal recirculation system and an automatic nozzle check.

SOFTWARE RIP INCLUDED

Ricoh's in-house RIP software ColorGATE Productionserver in the DTF version with many important functions for a reliable production process is included with the system:

•     Automatic generation of the degree of whiteness
•     Color profiles for DTF
•     Simultaneous printing of multiple graphics
•     Saving the work for later changes
•     Optional: print cost calculation
•     Connection of further printing systems, e.g. DTG possible

COORDINATED SUPPLIES

With the DTF system, Ricoh offers perfectly matching hardware and software, but also a complete supplies system with film, adhesive and inks, which are supplied in large 700 ml bottles.

The ten color channels are equipped with the following colors:
CMYK, double white and the fluorescent colors neon yellow, neon magenta, neon orange and neon green.

THE PRODUCTION PROCESS

DTF stands for Direct to Film. This means that transfers are printed fully digitally. This transfer technology makes it extremely easy to customize garments made from a wide variety of fabrics and other objects.

The DTF printing process is very simple: the graphic to be applied to the object is processed by the RIP software and printed on a film in mirror image, including white color.

A hot-melt adhesive is then automatically applied and the film is dried in the oven.

The transfer can then be made: At this point, the transfer - the printed, glued and dried film - is applied to the object using a transfer press.

THE BENEFITS

The advantage of this process is its flexibility. A wide variety of textiles can be decorated: polyester, nylon, leather and also classic cotton and mixed materials – without any pre-treatment.

The transfers can also be stored dry and used later. This makes it possible to optimize production processes or expand business areas as a service provider for other companies.
